Now there is an environmentally friendly alternative to Dry Cleaning,
that is better for your clothes and better for our planet, no toxic or
ozone damaging chemicals used.
The Aqua Clean systems use of water, specially formulated biodegradable
detergents, computer controlled washers and dryers and specialised
finishing equipment is an eco friendly alternative to traditional dry
cleaning and is suitable for most fabrics from linen to leather, silk to
sequence and 100% wool and wool blend fabrics.
Woolmark has fully endorsed the Aqua Clean system - a first ever for the
Woolmark certification in professional fabric care. Customers
continually comment that the clothes don't have that horrible smell that
is common in many dry cleaners.
Business was established May 2005, previous dry cleaner closed down 6
months prior due to heath reasons. Stanthorpe is a country town
approximately 2 hours south west of Brisbane in a wine producing
district with tourism and agriculture being the main industries. The
business also caters for laundry of linen for B & B's etc and some
restaurants, expansion in this area is extremely possible.
Closest commercial laundry is 1 3/4 hours away with surrounding areas
that could be tapped into. At present 1 full time staff member and 1
casual operate the business, business hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to
Friday.
Rental is very low with option of another 3 year lease due to be signed
in September 2007. Now that the business is well established the owners
are looking for a change of pace.
