Our reputable video production and communications company is looking for a Business Development Manager to become part of our organisation and enjoy 50% profit share of the work you generate - that would include repeat orders, repeat business and referrals. We would expect you to be able to promote Major Drama to medium to large businesses and government organisations throughout Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra. We are not interested in chasing small businesses, our services are directed towards larger organisations who are au fait with spending at least $20,000 upwards on their marketing, corporate and training resources at any given time. As well as current clients in your area, you would also be given leads from our existing data base to work with and further develop. Our experienced production team has been working together for over ten years. As is quite the norm in this industry we each work from home and all crew members are freelance. Each of our key crew members is highly experienced having cut their teeth with the major TV networks and gained over 20 years experience. Our director, Chris Kirby-Ryan, comes from a large advertising agency background and also has over 20 years experience. Your position would be in client representation, data base building, client communication, marketing and obviously business development. Most of our work is currently done in Melbourne and Sydney however our director is based in Brisbane. Where you are based is not really critical as most of your work will be done over the phone, internet and email, setting aside one day a week or fortnight for appointments. Working from home is most acceptable. You will also be responsible for your own running costs such as car, internet and phones. As you will be sharing in profits these costs will be deducted by you in the course of your own accounting procedures. You will be investing in an active business that will provide you with all of the resources and support you will need. Interactive website, e-marketing and social network campaigning, on-line advertising and search engine optimisation. You will also receive business cards and business stationery. Training will be undertaken at your workplace and a kit containing all marketing resources and samples of our work will also be provided. Your initial training period will be for two weeks with follow up sessions once a month for six months. In-field support will also be provided for client meetings as long as deemed necessary. Our requirements are that you: • be professional and used to dealing with corporate and government clients, • that you can provide a suitable place to work from (home office is fine), • that you have the financial backing to support yourself for the first three months (signing your first project or client can take this long), • have a background in marketing and client corporate communications, • are serious about building a career/business in video production and associated areas, • want to be part of a successful and potentially very rewarding business, and • have the dedication and determination to stick and make it work. In today's ever developing technological world this is a great business to become a part of. Videos, whether in DVD or online format are being used more often by more companies for more purposes. Our reasonable rates and excellent product position us perfectly to larger businesses and government departments. With the right person as Business Development Manager we believe we can branch out more into the web development and e-marketing area as well as on-line advertising.
