Rauter Electrics is located in Tumut in the Riverina region of New South Wales, situated on the banks of the Tumut River. Tumut sits on the north-west foothills of the Snowy Mountains and is referred to as the gateway to the Snowy Mountains Scheme. The Tumut Region is picturesque in every season. Tumut is the centre of a softwood industry based on plantation. AKD Wood Products Pty Ltd operate a major sawmill on Adelong Road as well as a treated timber plant. The Bago Hardwood Sawmill is also a major client The Visy Pulp and Paper Mill is the only paper mill owned by Visy that makes paper from wood and recycled paper and is one of the biggest wood mills in Australia. Snowy Hydro is also a major industry which we have continued to service throughout its expansion, and further development continues with Snowy 2.0. Perisher and Selwyn snowfields, grain handling companies in Cootamundra and Young, 2 local government councils and numerous business throughout Riverina and South West Slopes also provide a continued and stable customer base.
